Join us for a friendly and relaxed Rainbow Ramble designed to bring together LGBTQ+ people and allies in the heart of the South Downs. Starting out from welcoming Langham Brewery and set against the stunning backdrop of the South Downs, this gentle ramble offers a chance to enjoy nature, spark conversations, support a local producer and build friendships outside of the usual scenes.

In the countryside, it’s easy to feel isolated — but with small steps (and a few muddy boots!), we can build something vibrant together. Whether you’re local, newly moved to the area, or just visiting, come and walk with pride.

This is a low-pressure, inclusive event. Whether you’re a regular hiker or just fancy a relaxed morning out, all are welcome. The pace will be easy, with plenty of time for conversation, connection, and soaking up the views and beers! Let’s make the South Downs not just a place of beauty, but a place of belonging.

Well-behaved dogs on leads welcome.

PS….If you love craft ale and would like to understand a little more about how it’s done, Langham offer a guided tour and tasting of their 10 barrel steam-heated brewery. You can find out more here. Also, for the budding brewer or beer connoisseur there is a Brew Day Experience

Rural Strides

At Rural Strides, we’re passionate about celebrating the rich heritage and beauty of the Western Weald. Through thoughtfully curated walks, we bring the landscape to life — interpreting its history, uncovering local stories, and revealing the wonders that make this corner of the countryside so special.

Our guided experiences forge a deeper connection between people and place. Along the way, we’ll introduce you to inspiring local businesses, artisans, and producers who also shape the character of the region. Each walk offers more than a route; it’s a journey into the heart of the Western Weald’s rural charm.

Whether you’re a seasoned rambler or simply curious to explore, we hope a Rural Strides walk gives you an authentic and memorable experience — one that leaves you feeling like a local, with a deeper appreciation for the land beneath your feet and the stories it holds.
