Guided by Phil Hall, who manages the nursery, this rare visit will reveal what is grown here and the fascinating process of nurturing a tree from seed to sapling before it is carefully lifted and planted elsewhere. Alongside this insider’s glimpse into the life of a tree, the walk itself offers plenty to enjoy: a leafy circuit through Petersfield’s answer to Surrey’s St George’s Hill, where substantial houses sit quietly among woodland. It’s a beautiful, peaceful setting for a walk full of discovery.
